Designing and coding for the web is no easy feat. Everytime i see code it kind of makes my eyes roll into the back of my head.
Since I am a pop culture connoisseur and like to stay up-to-date on current events, especially in the entertainment industry, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to design an entertainment website.
Hy-phen Entertainment is a website soley based on the happenings in entertainment. The site has movie, music, and tv news, as well as links to various blogs. The site’s homepage is a scrolling picture menu. Once an image is selected the photo will pop out larger and the background will grey out. Once the image is clicked it takes you to a page with the information that corresponds to the image.

The typeface Contempo is inspired by Bodoni, a classic serif typeface. The creation of Contempo started with the basic removing of serifs from Bodoni making it more streamlined. The next step was to simplify and reduce the curves on the rounded letterforms. The end result is a modern, clean take on an existing elegant classic.

The creation of this campaign was the result of weeks of research. Who does The Impossible Project cater to? Who buys instant film? What is the Objective of this project?

The main idea behind this series is to cater to younger creative individuals that want to see the production of instant film resume. Going with the theme of instant film, such as polaroid, being ‘old school,’ the obvious tagline was “keep it old school.” The hand-drawn aspect of the poster gave it a more artistic and vintage feel. </description>

Since the Manci &#38; Co. is a vintage clothing store, it only made sense for the logo and letterhead components to display that same vintage feel. I drew inspiration for the logo from classic vintage design such as the VW automobile logo.

It all came from an idea...

With granola cereal the problem arose with trying to preserve freshness. There is no good way to seal conventional cereal bags without placing them in additional storage containers.
The goal was simple--maintain the quantity and improve freshness while providing a clean, organic visual aesthetic. The color pallete was derived from authentic farm grown and packaged granola.
The pour spout on the top creates a much easier pouring experience. The twist cap on the pour spout ensures freshness and a confident seal. The window on the front and side of the container display the product and ensures the buyer what he/she are buying is what the label says it is. The name is derived from the word ‘total’ and describes the product perfectly:
Total freshness. Total nutrition. Total satisfaction.

The sky is the limit when it comes to choosing a book series from the Barnes and Noble Classics list. I chose books with a seemingly obvious reccuring theme--scandal. What better way is there to display intriguing, scandelous gossip headlines than within juicy tabloid headlines.
The challenge was getting all of the books to look cohesive while still maintaining the individuality of the stories, characters, and plotlines while not giving away the ending. Each book displays just enough intrigue to get the viewer to want to read what is inside.
